High converting sales copy is the lifeblood of any organization trying to attract attention, make more sales or increase their revenue.

Sales copy basically means ‘persuasive text’ to reach an end goal, such as selling a system, product, service, capturing a lead, etc. You’ll find it on the front of magazines, all the emails you read, the top high converting sales pages and websites.

Sales copy is a key principle that all companies need, especially online.

It doesn’t matter how targeted your marketing efforts are, or how optimized your website or sales pipeline is, they won’t realize full potential if your copy doesn’t instantly draw the reader in, right from the start, with your attention-grabbing headline.

This will emotionally tie them down as you hit on and address all the pain points which are keeping them from succeeding and will then allow you to transition to your “aha” moment where you provide the solution that they’ve always been searching for….

Sales copy is so powerful, that top copywriters can charge as much as $20,000 for a single long website page. It’s expensive, but that’s because it works and, if done well, it can make millions of dollars with a single sales page.

Learning the basics of sales copy will help you write better emails, better headlines, better facebook ads, better job postings and much more. Fundamentally, it’s going to make you more successful, regardless of your role, business or job.

That’s why today I’m going to reveal to you my secret winning, 3-step formula for finding and creating a winning sales hook that I’ve personally used to make million of dollars online…

1. What Is A Winning Sales Hook?

Your “Winning Sales Hook” is your differentiating factor – this is what makes your product or service stand out as different from everyone else’s and puts you ahead of all those offering a solution to the problem that you are going to solve for your customer or client.

If there isn’t anything unique about how your “system” works, then the person has no reason to buy.

Because there is one thing we can be sure of – this is NOT the first time the person reading your sales page has tried to find an answer to the problem that your product or service will finally solve for them!

Before you, or your copywriter, can sit down at a blank screen and begin to carefully craft the entire and lengthy sales page that will catapult your business and income tier to the next level (doesn’t matter if it’s 5,6,7, or 8 figures), you must first identify and establish your “HOOK” and figure out how to strategically position it into your copy.

And here’s the truth, most people don’t have a hook, because a good hook is hard to find.

Just like legendary copywriter John Carlton said, “A great hook will HIDE from you. It’s a cruel beast, happy when it escapes your notice”.

So here is the winning formula to take any hook, and turn it into the “winning hook”.

2. The 3-Step Formula

Once you have identified the mechanism by which you will solve the person’s problem, follow these 3 steps to help you create the headline, subheadlines, and bullet points inside your copy that will reveal the secrets to your product’s winning solution.

Step #1- Look up the history of your mechanism.

Chances are you are not the person that created this method originally. Spend some time researching how historically it has solved problems and issues related to the one your product serves. Through the use of powerful storytelling in your copy, you will be able to link the two problems together, and hopefully provide that “aha” moment your prospect is seeking.

Step #2- Look up the science of your mechanism.

Anytime you can, try to provide research studies showing how your mechanism is helping people currently. This is exactly how I was able to scale my business to 7 figures in under 2 years online – I had completed my masters in sports science at the University of Tampa and conducted research studies inside the lab there with professional athletes and celebrities; this evidenced a level of service from me that couldn’t be purchased anywhere else.

Regardless of your industry, you need to explain how it works. There are even services and agencies that will do the legwork for you, verifying with documented studies everything you’re putting out (although it goes without saying that you should also understand your own product/service fully).

Step #3- Look up the “pop culture” of your mechanism.

Once again, another one that worked in my favor! 🙂 If you can find out current influencers or celebrities who are using the same mechanism as you, then that draws instant attachment to an audience and demographic that more than likely is right for your service.

Make sure you use a *disclaimer though as you cannot legally use celebrities’ endorsements unless they have given you permission. (We did this with my 20-Day Hollywood Reboot and it did over 6-figures in sales the weekend we launched it).

3. “Most online entrepreneurs starting out have it ALL WRONG!”

They spend months and months coming up with this amazing offer or service, and invest thousands of dollars into design, to ultimately end up selling nothing.

It doesn’t matter how amazing your product offering or service is. If you can’t get it into people’s hands, then not only will you not make any money online, and fail as an entrepreneur, but you will never be able to help and impact the thousands of lives that you are truly meant to.

And one sure way to do that is by creating a WINNING SALES HOOK!
